DayPrivate / Structured app alternatives
Structured app alternatives, priced
Structured app alternatives (2026), with the prices each store actually lists.
Structured is a good visual day planner, and most of it is free. So if you are searching for a Structured app alternative, something specific has gone wrong: a Pro feature you would rather not pay for, a phone that is not an iPhone, a timeline that shows the day but never argues with it. Each of those points at a different app, and one of them is DayPrivate.
The short answer
The best Structured alternative depends on what Structured is not doing for you.
Structured's help centre says you can use almost every Structured feature for free, and sells Structured Pro as a monthly, yearly or lifetime purchase. The US App Store lists Structured Pro at $2.99 or $6.99 a month, $9.99 to $49.99 a year, and $99.99 for lifetime. If you want a gentler visual planner, Tiimo is the closest like for like. If you think in projects rather than hours, Todoist Pro is $6.99 a month or $59.99 a year on the App Store. If you want a guided daily ritual, Sunsama's pricing page lists $22 a month or $17 billed yearly. If you want AI to lay the day out, Motion lists $19 per seat a month. Every figure was checked on 30 September 2026.
DayPrivate is the pick for one narrower case: you plan your own work on Mac, iPad and iPhone, you want the plan and your notes in one outline you own as a local file, and you want the app to say something when a block ends with the important thing still open. DayPrivate will be $8 a month or $69 a year. It is not released yet, and it has no Android, web or Apple Watch app, all of which Structured has.
Structured alternatives compared
Structured, DayPrivate and six alternatives, side by side on price.
Many Structured alternative roundups are written by a competing app: the ones from Lifestack, Saner.AI, FOCO and Routine each put their own app at number one. This table ranks nothing. It lists what each app store listing or vendor pricing page showed on 30 September 2026, DayPrivate included, and what each app is built around.
| App | Paid price, as listed | Free version | Built around |
|---|---|---|---|
| Structured | Pro $2.99 or $6.99 a month, $9.99 to $49.99 a year, $99.99 lifetime (App Store) | Yes, almost every feature | Visual timeline of tasks and calendar events |
| Tiimo | Pro purchases from $7.00 to $54.00, cadence not labelled (App Store) | Yes, iOS and Android only | Visual planner for neurodivergent brains, timers, AI planning |
| Todoist | Pro $6.99 a month or $59.99 a year (App Store) | Yes, Beginner, 5 projects | List first tasks, projects, filters, calendar layout on Pro |
| TickTick | Premium US$49.99 a year | Yes, 9 lists of 99 tasks | Task lists, calendar views, habits |

Sources, each checked 30 September 2026: the US App Store listings for Structured, Tiimo and Todoist, What is Structured Pro, Tiimo's pricing FAQ, Todoist pricing, TickTick Premium, Sunsama pricing, Motion pricing, Reclaim pricing, and the DayPrivate plan. Structured, Tiimo and Todoist show prices inside their apps rather than on a public price page, so the App Store in-app purchase list is the figure used here, and your country's store may differ. Motion offers monthly and annual billing with "Save 33%" on annual, but does not say which one the $19 is. The vendor's page wins over this table.
Structured price
How much Structured Pro costs, and what Structured's free version already covers.
Structured's help centre is unusually plain about this: "Without Pro, you can still use almost every feature of Structured for free, and the app will never include ads or sell your data." Timeline tasks, all-day tasks, inbox tasks, subtasks, notes, icons, colour coding and schedule sync are all listed there as free. Structured Pro adds Structured AI, calendar import, recurring tasks, custom notifications, a custom colour palette and premium icons, plus Reminders import and Replan, which the same table lists as iOS only.
Structured sells Pro three ways, per its upgrade article: monthly, yearly, or a lifetime purchase, with weekly billing for Android users in some countries. A 3 day trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The US App Store listing shows Structured Pro in-app purchases from $2.99 a month to $99.99 for lifetime, which is why Structured's price looks different in every roundup. The price you see in the app is the one that applies to you.
The point Structured alternative roundups skip
Every paid Structured alternative in the table above is competing with Structured's own free version, not with Structured Pro. If recurring tasks or calendar import are the only things you miss, Structured Pro at its App Store prices is cheaper than Sunsama, Motion, Todoist Pro or DayPrivate. Switch when the design is the problem, not the paywall.
Pick by the reason you are leaving Structured
Which Structured alternative fits the reason you are switching.
Each row restates its prices and sources so you do not have to scroll back. DayPrivate gets a row too, and it is not the answer to most of them.
If none of these rows sound like you, DayPrivate's guide to the four kinds of day planner sorts planners by how they fail rather than by brand. Structured sits in its calendar first group, and knowing which group you want is often faster than trying another Structured alternative at random.
Structured vs Tiimo, Structured vs Todoist
The two Structured comparisons people search for most, answered from each vendor's own pages.
Structured vs Tiimo
Structured and Tiimo are both visual day planners on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Android, and both have a web app. Structured's free version covers almost every feature, per its help centre, and its App Store Pro purchases start at $2.99. Tiimo's free version is a selection of planning tools on iOS and Android only, its web planner needs Pro, and its App Store Pro purchases start at $7.00. Tiimo leans harder into support for neurodivergent planning, in its own description. On the US App Store on 30 September 2026, Structured was rated 4.8 from more than 166,000 ratings and Tiimo 4.6 from more than 20,000.
Structured vs Todoist
Structured and Todoist are different kinds of planner. Structured places each task on the hours of the day beside your calendar events. Todoist starts from a list and lets you add dates, durations and a calendar layout, the last two on Pro. Todoist Pro is $6.99 a month or $59.99 a year on the US App Store, where Todoist was rated 4.8 from more than 129,000 ratings on 30 September 2026. Pick Structured if your day is a sequence of hours, Todoist if it is a pile of projects.
DayPrivate sits between those two designs: an outline like a list, with a day grid like a timeline, both drawn from the same bullets. The DayPrivate time blocking walkthrough shows how a bullet becomes a block and what happens when the block ends.
Where DayPrivate fits
DayPrivate as a Structured alternative: what it does that a timeline does not.
Structured shows you the day. DayPrivate asks what the day is for first. You name two or three outcomes for today, each with the Result you want by tonight and the Purpose behind it, and mark the actions under them MUST or SHOULD. Auto-block lays those actions around the Apple Calendar events you already have and names what did not fit. When a block ends with a MUST still open, DayPrivate's Reckoning card asks once: re-block today, re-block tomorrow, or leave it.
Under the plan, DayPrivate is a full outliner. Notes, projects, plans, blocks and tracked time are ordinary bullets you can zoom, mirror, search and export to OPML, plain text, CSV or HTML. That is the part Structured does not try to be, and the main reason to consider DayPrivate over it.
Outcomes with a Result and a Purpose, actions marked MUST or SHOULD underneath, and an estimate on each one. The projects and names in the capture are fictional.

When Structured, not DayPrivate, is the better call
You plan on an Android phone, in a browser, or on your wrist. Structured runs on all three, per its App Store listing and help centre, and DayPrivate runs on none of them. You want a planner for free. You want AI to build the schedule. You need something you can install this week. DayPrivate is Mac, iPad and iPhone only, one person, paid, and not released yet.
Where your plan lives
Structured sync and DayPrivate sync, compared from each one's own documentation.
Structured's help centre says Structured Cloud is its own sync service, and that syncing across Apple, Android and Structured Web needs a Structured Cloud account made with your email address. Apple only users can still use iCloud sync, though Structured recommends switching to Structured Cloud if there are issues, describing it as faster and more reliable.
DayPrivate has no account at all. The outline is a database file on your own device, and devices exchange encrypted change sets through your own iCloud Drive under a passphrase kept in the device keychain. The trade is reach: Structured's approach works on Android and the web, and DayPrivate's works only on Mac, iPad and iPhone.
DayPrivate price
DayPrivate will be eight dollars a month, or sixty nine a year.
DayPrivate has one plan with everything in it, on every Apple device you own, for one person. No free tier and no team tier. If the plan lapses, the last version you paid for keeps working and the file stays yours. That is more than Structured Pro's lowest App Store prices and far more than Structured's free version, so DayPrivate only makes sense if the outline and the Reckoning are worth paying for. Questions
Structured app alternative questions, answered about Structured and about DayPrivate.
Is the Structured app any good?
Yes, for what it was built to do. Structured puts your tasks and calendar events on one visual timeline, and on 30 September 2026 the US App Store showed it rated 4.8 from more than 166,000 ratings. Structured's help centre says almost every feature is free. It is a weaker fit if you want recurring tasks or calendar import without paying, since both are Structured Pro features, or every Pro feature on Android, since the help centre lists Replan and Reminders import as iOS only.
How much does Structured Pro cost?
Structured's help centre says Pro comes as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one time lifetime purchase, with a 3 day trial that turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The US App Store listing shows Structured Pro at $2.99 or $6.99 a month, $9.99 to $49.99 a year, and $99.99 for lifetime, checked 30 September 2026. The price inside the app is the one that applies to you.
Which is better, Structured or Tiimo?
Structured has the larger free version and the lower entry price. Tiimo leans further into support for neurodivergent planning, in its own description. Tiimo's free version runs on iOS and Android only, its web planner needs Pro, and its 7-day trial applies only to the yearly plan. The US App Store lists Tiimo Pro purchases from $7.00 to $54.00 and Structured Pro from $2.99, with $99.99 for Structured lifetime. Both run on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Android.
Which planner is better, Structured or Todoist?
They are different kinds of planner. Structured is a timeline that puts tasks on the hours of the day next to your calendar events. Todoist is a list first task manager with projects and filters, and its pricing page puts the calendar layout and task duration on Pro. Todoist Pro is $6.99 a month or $59.99 a year on the US App Store, and the free Beginner plan allows 5 personal projects. Choose Structured if you think in hours and Todoist if you think in projects.
What is the #1 productivity app?
There is no neutral number one. On the US App Store on 30 September 2026, TickTick was rated 4.9 from more than 46,000 ratings, Todoist 4.8 from more than 129,000, Structured 4.8 from more than 166,000 and Tiimo 4.6 from more than 20,000. Ratings show how satisfied existing users are, not which app fits your day. DayPrivate has no rating to quote because it is not released yet.
Is there a free Structured alternative?
Structured is itself the free option for most people, since its help centre says almost every feature is free. Among the alternatives, TickTick Free allows 9 lists of 99 tasks, Todoist Beginner allows 5 personal projects, and Reclaim Lite is free forever, each according to its own pricing page. Tiimo's free version covers iOS and Android only. DayPrivate has no free tier: it will be $8 a month or $69 a year.
Is DayPrivate a Structured alternative?
For one kind of Structured user. DayPrivate is a local first outliner with a clock for Mac, iPad and iPhone: you choose two or three outcomes for the day, time block them around Apple Calendar, and answer the Reckoning card when a block ends with a MUST still open. It has no Android app, no web version and no Apple Watch app, all of which Structured has. DayPrivate will be $8 a month or $69 a year.
Can I try DayPrivate today?
Not yet. DayPrivate is in daily use and under active development, but it is not publicly released and it is not on the App Store. The form on this page sends one email when there is something to install, and nothing else.
